Which platform is more secure - Android or iOS

With the introduction of the smartphone, the way of communication has been revolutionized. The primary credit goes to the developers of Android who created a unique platform where one can get what he wants on the screen of the mobile only. However, it is not the only system in this market as another leading one is iOS from Apple. The Android and the iOS war has been continuing for a decade and breaks the Internet every single time. The deal breaker for both the operating system is the Mobile App Security. The longevity of an application on your phone will depend on how secure it is and how resistant it is when it comes to catching a virus. The more protected the app is, the better your operating system becomes. Know about Android Development service

One can work on the security of an application, but in the end, the level of security your application has will depend on the core Operating system on which the application is. IOS is known for its security because of its stringent security guidelines, but lately, android has backtracked its game and is known to become a brand that can assure the security of the data.

Let us look into the security system of both the Operating systems:
The bootup process
Android has an Interprocessor Communication facility and a Linux Kernel which is coded with the sandbox. This platform is known to provide a guarantee that every stage is verified cryptographically and then taken to the next level.
The iOS, on the other hand, offers a level of security with Low-Level BootLader, iBoot and iOS Kernel. These are verified by Apple, and after verifying the signature from Apple, the iOS Kernel is executed.
Security Updates for the software
There are monthly updates in Android and prompts the users with the update after every month. The android doesn’t force its users to get the update. It also offers an option where a user can ignore the update and use the system with the old security model.
On the other hand, Apple releases several security updates to its users and makes it mandatory for every user to get the update. A regular notification is sent to the Apple user and makes it difficult for the user to ignore the update.
Touch ID
Android has recently started using the fingerprint scan option but is still very rare. In case of apple, the biometric verification of the device has become very particular with them and does not just stop with the fingerprint scan but has an Iris scan and Face ID. These two terms were initially coined by Apple and are still progressing their ways up the security.
Hardware
Android has an extensive number of manufacturers and any issue related to the hardware depends on the manufacturers. Some manufacturers are good at it while others are cheaper and can have a hardware glitch every now and then. Apple, on the other hand, is fully liable for the hardware that they offer and have full access over their hardware security.
